are available too, and there is an image viewer page for downloading and sharing your recordings without needing a computer. The Holy Stone HS720 drone has a very solid build but that does push the weight up to nearly half a kilogram, without the battery inserted. Connecting the drone to your mobile or tablet allows streaming of video and extra functionality like planning the flight path and tap-fly.

The phone grip is best described as adequate; it fights a bit for space with the dual antennas, and the weight of our iPhone Pro Max seemed to be pushing the hinge to its limits, but it worked. Your phone will serve as the camera view, so you must pair your mobile device with the remote controller and drone. When it comes to entry-level drones, one of the most popular 4K drones right now is the Holy Stone HS720E.For a total novice drone operator having only flown it the once, I have to say that the HS720E is great to fly and really easy to handle. In reality, the video connection will begin to cut out much sooner – as little as 50m in my experience.

Pricier drones with these characteristics have collision avoidance sensors to stop before or bypass obstacles. It sounds obvious, but if your drone is looking at you and you press the left stick up, it will fly backward instead of forward.Ease of operation, good controller and long battery life of the HS720 drone are especially appreciated, as is the folding design and the carrying case. It might not have the resolution, or the extras, and still costs a little more, but it does include a powered gimbal while sneaking in under the 250g threshold. That all said, it’ll still be more than sufficient for those just getting into drones, with easy flight controls and video quality that doesn’t look too bad even when showcased on a 4K TV – it’s just not quite as clear and smooth as it could be. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products. Overall this drone has a lot to offer a creator on a budget, or someone looking for a toy which won’t just be abandoned after the first use.

The image below the display from the M RC Pro app is an alternative which is actually made by the same developer and used when reviewing this drone. Again, I haven't gone mad with it, just small baby steps and in a large clear area away from cars, people and trees. Follow-me and Orbit mode will focus the camera on you or an object of interest to follow all the action.

It could still stand to be a little smoother in use, and there are some blunt messages that might be poor translations, but the key functions are easy to reach. Portable design along with 2 batteries and a carrying case make the HS720E a great package for all levels of drone pilots. It must be done while the drone is on a flat surface and the visual feedback is given by the lights on the bottom of the drone which are virtually impossible to see reflected on the ground on a bright day. This can be used to capture moving objects using a fast shutter speed, or to take images in low light without using a flash.

There is also a standard photo mode for stills, captured at 3840 x 2160, though the fixed focus of the drone’s camera means it’s better suited to vista shots rather than close-up stills.

The high quality photos and videos give creators an enhanced experience for capturing life's bright moments! The result of this Holy Stone HS720 drone review is a strong recommendation and you would really need to spend a lot more money to get a better drone than this. The HD camera has a built-in shock absorber that helps you shoot 3840 x 2160 resolution images and videos [that minimises any distortion to your footage]. It’s worth noting that, as with most drones, you’ll only get a standard 1080p video transferred to your phone – you’ll have to take the microSD card from the drone and connect it to a PC or laptop to view the full-res footage.
