It was wonderful to be readin’ about Roz again and seeing how she handles the new obstacles in her path. Unlike the first book that happens in the wild, this book finds Roz dealing with humans and farming and cities. As always she is gregarious, hard-working, thoughtful, compassionate, and fabulous. I adored her entire time working on the farm. Your books about the Wild Robot are inspiring and entertaining. Now I see you are writing the Wild Robot Protects. I’m wholly invested in this extraordinary series! My favourite character was Brightbill and the things he said as I can just imagine Brightbill doing that.running. But the robot’s programming would not allow her to be violent. Clearly, Roz was not designed to fight bears. Powerful jaws chomped her arms. Sharp claws slashed her face. A massive head rammed her chest. “Please stay away!” said the robot. “Roarrrr!” said the sister bear. “Grrrrrr!” said the brother bear. And then the bears went in for the kill. But the robot had vanished.

But that wasn’t the whole story. You see, from the moment I started dreaming up The Wild Robot, I was also dreaming up the sequel. It would be another survival story, only this time Roz would have to survive in civilization, with cities and humans and other robots. Well, it’s taken a while, but I’ve finally written and illustrated that sequel. If you have a few minutes I’d like to tell you about The Wild Robot Escapes. A] stellar sequel… Warmth and gentleness court through the novel, even as dangers emerge.”― Booklist, starred review The designer started building this file, with the sketches and the latest version of the text, and we got a feel for how the finished book would look Did you know you can flag iffy content? Did we miss something on diversity?

Eventually, the sketches were replaced with the final illustrations, and we got an even better idea of how the finished book would look Peter Brown, your 1st and 2nd books of “Roz” were AMAZING! In the first I literally cried! 3 times! My favourite part was when Brightbill found Chit-Chat (P.s. I am really like Chit Chat) Chit Chat was literally talking like MAD. In the second book I cried more than the first book! My favourite part was when Roz and the RECOs were in a chase. How Dramatic! From your greatest fan! The 4th grade class was reading this story and I took it out of the library to read and discuss this with my 4th grader…he actually asked me to buy him the book so he could read it over again…We are going to read all three and then I will buy them all for him. Your book is the first chapter book we have been able to follow and discuss. In your first book, I loved all the scientific concepts you have incorporated in the story…I started taking notes for a discussion. This is my 10 year old's current favorite book series. She is now obsessed with robots, and it has inspired her to learn about robotics.

Love, love, LOVE this book. Roz is the best and I am willing to go on any journey with her, even if it involves pigeons. The first book in this series was a great adventure/survival story and while this one still has adventure elements it really focuses on gently asking the reader to ponder life's big questions,

I could not imagine a better followup to the Wild Robot and I am hoping against hope that there will be a third. croak, “Where are you? I can’t see you!” And then another would reply, “I’m over here! Follow my voice!” When Roz first stomped across the island, the animal squawks and growls and chirps had sounded like nothing more than meaningless noises. But she no longer heard animal noises. Now she heard animal words.Your LKS2 class will read an extract from Chapter 30. They will use this information to draw a labelled diagram of Roz and Brightbill’s new house, making sure they include the features mentioned. They can then add more details about each feature on their labelled diagram. A fantastic differentiated resource to elicit and interpret information.
